Mission Statement Our path is one of radical transformation toward fully manifesting and expressing the fullness of our potential as truly integrated spiritual, mental and physical beings. This path is rooted in the perennial wisdom, enlightened by science and psychology, oriented toward cosmic and human deification, purposefully progressing toward conscious Oneness with Infinity. By
“path” we mean the determined and consistent development that is
interpreted as a cyclical-spiral movement that is ever unfolding and which
accepts material reality as real, good and part of a fulfilled life and not
a burden that must be discarded. We must find the beauty in the material and
physical, enjoy mental activities that challenge our mind to analysis and
conclusions to our unique questions and issues of life and spirit as the
essence out of which and into which we will resolve our lives into a final
merging of our spirit with Spirit. This
cyclical-spiral movement is the continual evolution and involution that
moves all that exists toward the fullest expression of the Ideal that only
Spirit can reveal and that can only be comprehended intuitively. For me, the
best understanding of this evolution and involution was expressed by the
Anglican interpreter of New Thought Thomas Troward as involution being the
passing of Spirit into form and evolution as the passing of form back into
Spirit. In this cyclical process the whole is becoming in expression that
which it already is: a being and becoming. From the
writings of Sri Aurobindo: “. . . the
world is a field of manifestation in which there is progressive evolution of
the soul and the nature in Matter through Life and Mind to what is beyond
Mind till it reaches the complete revelation of Sachchidananda (Being-Consciousness-Bliss) in life.” – From: “The
Integral Yoga” page 29 Sri
Aurobindo’s expression of the philosophy of Integral Yoga is also
important in the unfolding of our philosophy: “The
apparently inconscient Energy which creates is in fact the
Consciousness-Force of the Divine and its aspect of consciousness, secret in
Matter, begins to emerge in Life, finds something more of itself in Mind and
finds its true self in a spiritual consciousness and finally a supramental
Consciousness through which we become aware of the Reality, enter into it
and unite ourselves with it. This is what we call evolution which is an
evolution of Consciousness and an evolution of the Spirit in things and only
outwardly an evolution of species.” – From: “The
Integral Yoga” page 28. Sri
Aurobindo, in a statement that hints of Theosis states: “To arrive at the shortest way at the largest development of spiritual
power and being and divinize by
it a liberated nature in the whole range of human living is our inspiring
motive.” Thomas
Troward brings a practical perspective to our work in a way similar to
Integral Yoga. Troward taught that: “The
Creative Process in the individual is the same as the Creative Process in
the Universal.” Finally, a
contemporary interpreter of Eastern philosophy states that: “. . . Yoga,
which lies at the heart of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, is a spiritual
tradition (and) is concerned with personal growth and the ultimate goal of
complete self-transcendence to the point of perfect inner freedom.” Quoted
from Product Description of Georg Feuerstein’s book Yoga
Morality: Ancient Teachings at a Time of Global Crisis appearing on the
Amazon.com Website. Perhaps
the most important and central idea – even contradiction – is the truth
that what we are seeking on the enlightenment path we already are. This idea
is expressed so well by Georg Feuerstein: “ . . . as in Advaita
Vedanta, this liberation is not real, for the Self is ever free, it is
rather a becoming conscious of one’s true identity”. This kernel and
essence of truth is the conclusion of Feuersten’s in-depth study “The
Essence of Yoga” that appears in the book “The Essence of Yoga”.

| The Lotus Flower: A symbol of the sun, of creation and rebirth. At night the flower closes and sinks underwater and at dawn it rises and opens once again. According to one creation myth, it was a giant lotus which first rose out of the watery chaos at the beginning of time and from this giant lotus the sun itself rose on the first day. |
